This policy explains what data is collected when you browse the Site or make contact, why it is collected, and what your rights are, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. The data I collect

a. Data that you transmit to me directly

When you use the Site's contact form, I collect the information you enter: name, email address, phone number (if provided), and the content of your message (nature of your project, date of event, etc.).

If you book an appointment via Calendly, I receive the information necessary to book the appointment (name, email, chosen time slot, and any details you freely add in the booking form). Calendly then acts as a subcontractor; its own privacy policy applies to the tool itself: calendly.com/privacy .

b. Navigation data

The Site uses Google Analytics to measure its traffic (pages viewed, traffic source, visit duration). This tool places cookies on your device. These cookies are only activated after you give your consent, which is obtained via the banner displayed for this purpose during your first visit. You can change your choice at any time via the Site's cookie settings.

The Site is hosted on the Wix Studio platform, which may also collect technical data necessary for the operation and security of the Site (IP address, browser type). To learn more: wix.com/about/privacy .

c. Photo and video galleries

Your private photo galleries (weddings, events) are shared via the Pic-time platform, protected by a secure link unique to each client. Pic-time acts as a subcontractor for hosting your images; its privacy policy is available at pic-time.com .

d. Images and shots

As part of my services (weddings, events, commissions), I photograph and film people (clients, guests, speakers). These images are processed according to the terms agreed upon with you at the time of booking (private use, portfolio publication, social media). Details of these terms are included in the quote or contract signed with each client. Anyone appearing in an image who wishes to exercise their rights (access, objection) can contact me directly.

2. Why am I collecting this data?

  • Responding to your requests and monitoring your project (contact form, Calendly)

  • Perform the agreed service (production, delivery and sharing of images and films)

  • To measure and improve website traffic (Google Analytics, with your consent)

  • Comply with my legal and accounting obligations (invoicing, keeping quotes and contracts)

The legal basis for these processing operations is, as applicable: your consent (analytical cookies), the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures (contact form, quote), or my legitimate interest (Site security, reasonable prospecting related to a request initiated by you).

3. Shelf life

  • Contact form data: kept for 3 years from the last exchange if no collaboration materializes.

  • Data related to a service (contract, invoice): kept in accordance with the legal and accounting obligations in force in France (10 years for accounting and commercial documents, article L123-22 of the Commercial Code).

  • Browsing data (Google Analytics): kept for a maximum of 14 months, in accordance with the default settings of the tool.

  • Pic-time galleries: kept for the duration indicated in your contract, generally several months to a few years after delivery.

4. Data sharing

Your data is neither sold, rented, nor given to third parties for commercial purposes. It may be transmitted only to the technical service providers necessary for the operation of the Site and the delivery of your images: Wix (hosting), Google Analytics (audience measurement), Calendly (appointment booking), and Pic-time (private galleries). These providers may process data outside the European Union (particularly in the United States); they are contractually bound to respect safeguards compliant with the GDPR (standard contractual clauses or equivalent certification).

5. Your rights

In accordance with the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access: to obtain a copy of the data I hold about you

  • Right to rectification: correcting inaccurate data

  • Right to erasure: request the deletion of your data

  • Right to object: to object to processing, in particular for marketing purposes

  • Right to data portability: receive your data in a structured format

  • Right to withdraw your consent at any time (particularly for analytical cookies)

To exercise these rights, contact me at hello@valentinastier.com . You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the National Commission for Information Technology and Civil Liberties (CNIL): www.cnil.fr.

6. Cookies

The Site uses technical cookies necessary for its operation (remembering your preferences, security) as well as analytical cookies (Google Analytics), subject to your prior consent via the cookie banner. You can change your preferences at any time via this banner or your browser settings.

7. Security

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are implemented to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss or disclosure (secure Wix hosting, private and unique Pic-time gallery links).

8. Contact

For any questions relating to this policy or the use of your data, you can contact me at hello@valentinastier.com or +33 6 84 73 86 99 .
